All Saints Hove: Lunchtime recital programme

Besi Besemar July 9, 2013

All Saints Church, Hove

All Saints Church in Hove will be presenting a series of Jazz recitals during their Wednesday Lunchtime Recitals in July and September.

The programmes include:

Magdalena Reising and Pamela Pecko Smith: Ā Harp & Flute: July 17

Magdalena ReisingĀ has one of the most original voices performing on the contemporary jazz scene today. She will be appearing with Pamela Pecko Smith a classically trained vocalist and flutist, whose passion for jazz vocals began in childhood, a passion leading her Ā in 2009Ā  to reach the semi finals in the Open Mic UK national talent competition, where she represented jazz vocals.

Jason Henson: Jazz Guitar: July 24

Jason Henson home grown Brightonian and professional guitarist, has played with many of the worldā€™s finest jazz and gypsy jazz musicians, including Alan Barnes, Lulu Reinhardt and Joe Lee Wilson.

Bobby Wellins and Kate Williams: Ā Jazz Tenor Sax and Jazz Piano: September 4

Bobby Wellins the Glasgow-bred saxophonist who was nominated last year for a British Jazz Award in the category of Tenor Sax, teams up with English pianist-composer Kate Williams.Ā Their music is an intimate exploration of a familiar rulebook between a slow-burn saxist with leanings toward the 1950s cool school, and a quietly elegant Bill Evans-inflected pianist.
