Man Up, billed as Europe’s biggest and boldest Drag King battle, returns to alternative London pub The Glory from March

Graham Robson February 22, 2023

Man Up, billed as Europe’s biggest and boldest Drag King battle, returns to alternative London pub The Glory from March.

The Glory say: “It’s time for our glorious Kingdom to expand and once again we are throwing down the gauntlet over a muscle-bound eight-week competition in the hunt for its heroic new leader!”

Expect show-stopping talent – including performance art, comedy, song, spoken word, clowning and, of course, lip-synching! The winner will be awarded £1,000 and the contest is a great springboard for new talent to perform on The Glory stage, the ever-expanding King scene, at the National Theatre, and at other events The Glory puts together over the year.

Each week, The Glory invites performers, journalists, Man Up alumni and celebs to judge and celebrate the contestants along with hosts Chiyo and Don One who will preside over proceedings.

The Glory adds: “Get your show, get your costume and get on that stage… it’s all down to you to MAN UP!”

Heats take place every Wednesday, doors 5pm for show at 8pm, free entry:
