In the Key of Q, the UK podcast series featuring music and conversation with queer musicians from around the world, returns for a second series over the next 13 weeks. Presented and produced by London-based Dan Hall, the show aims to celebrate these musicians, their lives and their music. It publishes every Tuesday and is available HERE and on most platforms.

This week, presenter Dan Hall’s guest is DJ, music artist, producer, rapper, and dancer QBoy who has five independent releases under his belt, and has helped lead the way for diversity and inclusion within the LGBTQ community and hip-hop.

Born Marcos Brito, QBoy chats about his love of rapping, and the toxicity of Section 28 which denied him protection from homophobic bullying at school. As with so many, QBoy’s life was touched by HIV and for years he battled with the stigma and shame around his status. He speaks defiantly about his experiences of HIV shaming on Grindr and Scruff.

The episode dropped on March 15, 2022. The podcast is on Twitter (@inthekeyofq), Insta (@inthekeyofq) and Facebook (search: In the Key of Q).
