Devine Tension is to present Club Queer, a unique cabaret clubland experience, at Club Revenge in Brighton on not one, but THREE Fridays throughout the Brighton Fringe Festival on May 20, May 27 and June 3.
Club Queer is a celebration of queer art, offering guest spots for some of the most exciting, outrageous, and aesthetically mesmerising LGBTQ+ performers on the cabaret scene right now. Hosted by Devine Tension, it is set to be a unique club experience that will get the people of Brighton on their feet, and having a camp ol’ time, at an all (lip-) syncing, all death dropping night of fun!
Release your inner campy-horror, unapologetically devilish villain, at SWEET SINNERS on Friday, May 20, where you’ll escape to a sonic soundscape of femme-fronted tracks, ’80s/’90s/’00s nostalgia, queered-up hip hop, electro, ballroom, new wave and just the right amount of POP tunes with PMBC, Lucinda B. Hind, Oedipussi Rex, Purrsia Kitt and DJ Kate St Shields.
Embrace the spirit of the queer icons, from Beyoncé to Cher, at ICONS ONLY on Friday, May 27, where you can enjoy an eclectic mix of camp classics, fan favourites, and fierce vocals with Beau Jangles, Prinx Silver, Ava Cardo and DJ Affy Wajid.
And finally, take a trip down memory lane, with a cheesy twist, at BUBBLEGUM on Friday, June 3, where you’ll be B*Witched by the power of ’90s & ’00s nostalgia with a soundtrack ranging from Britney to the Vengaboys with Dick Day, Sophia Stardust, Fancy Chance and DJ JUNIPR.
