Graham Robson August 3, 2021

Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus has announced its first ensemble live public performance since December 2019, which will take place Sunday, August 22 from 7pm at The Warren on the Beach, next to the Volks Railway Aquarium Station.

The performance will see the Chorus perform some greatest hits from its extensive back catalogue, plus some exciting new additions prepared during lockdown, including Rise Like a Phoenix, Respect, Secret Love, All The Lovers and Confide in Me. Chorus Director is Joe Paxton, accompanist and music director is Tim Nail and assistant musical director is Jack Simmonds.

Nick Ford, BrightonGMC Chair, commented: “After such a long absence we’re delighted to be back performing as an ensemble Chorus in a dramatic and innovative venue in the heart of Brighton and right on the beach. We’re looking forward to performing and reconnecting with our community.”

Members of the Chorus will be singing together at The Oil Shed, an indoor-outdoor Covid-secure live entertainment venue which is part of The Warren on the Beach, just to the east of Brighton’s Palace Pier. The evening performance of approximately one hour duration will be on Sunday, August 22 from 7pm at the Warren on the Beach, east of the Pier, next to the Volks Railway Aquarium Station.
