BIPOC-led hybrid life drawing class to launch in Soho this month

Graham Robson January 13, 2022

A BIPOC-led hybrid life drawing class is to launch in the heart of Soho this January, courtesy of 2B or Not 2B Collective, which works with BIPOC models, LGBTQ+ models, models with disabilities, and models of all creeds and colours.

2B or Not 2B Collective is a BIPOC-run life drawing group based in London which uplifts marginalised and underrepresented models whilst unifying different communities through art. They focus on fostering new connections, artistic development as well as mental wellbeing.

2B’s hybrid life drawing class will be taking place both in person and online at House of St. Barnabas on Tuesday, January 25 from 7-9pm. Interested non-locals can get involved from the comfort of their own home via Zoom. Any and all artists are encouraged to join, from fledgling painters to established experts.

Hosts Erhan and Jess will be hosting a separate room each, meaning there will be two different models that artists can draw. Both models will switch over after the half way break.

2B or Not 2B Collective say: “Materials and papers are included if you forget your own, there’s always great music playing in the background whilst you get your creative juices flowing, a bar to grab your drinks from and a very friendly and encouraging atmosphere to draw in.”
