Switchboard CEO moves on

Daniel Cheesman will be moving on from his role as CEO of Switchboard at the end of April to relocate and take on a new CEO appointment with a charity in Bristol.

DANIEL has headed up Switchboard for the last two years during which time he implemented a new strategy for the charity, oversaw a rebrand and brought in additional funding to the charity to expand the support services that Switchboard offers LGBT+ people in the City.

Daniel said; “I have really enjoyed the last two years and it has been a privilege to lead Brighton and Hove’s oldest LGBT+ charity.  I am proud of the work that the Switchboard team does in connecting LGBT+ individuals and communities to relevant support in the City.  The last two years have been a journey I am pleased to be leaving the charity in solid position.  I would like to thank the dedicated Board of Trustees and the wonderful and talented Switchboard team of staff and volunteers for their support, passion and commitment without them there would not be a Switchboard.”

Dawn Draper Chair of Trustees added; “Whilst we are sad to see Daniel go, we are thrilled that he is moving onto pastures new and wish him all the best with his future career. We are thankful to the commitment that Daniel has shown in the role over the last two years and he is leaving Switchboard in a strong position with a clear purpose and strategy.  We are already in the process of recruiting a new CEO who will lead the organisation into our 45th year.”

Switchboard will be celebrating 45 years in 2020 and plans are underway to ensure that this landmark is suitably celebrated.
