PREVIEW: Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus: ‘The Seven Deadly Sins’

Following a busy year celebrating their 10th anniversary, Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus (BGMC) gears up for a fun filled 11th season starting with a brand new show for the Brighton Fringe Festival.

Join the Chorus as they explore their dark side in this new music extravaganza.

What does it mean to be a glutton in a gay world? Ever been seduced into gorging on forbidden fruit? Lusting at the shrine of the unattainable or were you just too slothful? If you’re feeling greedy go along and hear the boys tackle songs by David Bowie, Starship, Walk The Moon and Bruno Mars.

The Chorus’ productions for the Brighton Fringe Festivals are renowned for their firmly tongue-in-cheek take on a certain theme, combining humour and social observation, but always retaining their focus on choral excellency throughout, led by musical director Marc Yarrow.

BGMC always aspire to use music and entertainment for the benefit of other worthwhile charities and, with these performances, they are delighted to raise funds for the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society and Fun in Action for Children.

Go along and join the Chorus… if you’re not too busy resisting temptation!

Tickets cost £14, £12 for concessions and are available to purchase from the Chorus’ own ticketing website brightongmc.org (no booking fees, all credit and debit cards accepted, or PayPal account) and from the Brighton Fringe Box Office by calling 01273 917272 (fees apply), or by visiting their shop at One Stop Travel Shop in North Street, Brighton.
