Rock Superstar Slash to meet Hove MP in Parliament

Saul Hudson better known as Slash, the legendary guitarist with the American hard rock band Guns N’ Roses will be joining the Conservative, Hove & Portslade MP and Intellectual Property Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mike Weatherley, on Monday in Parliament.

He will be accompanied on his visit by Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.

SlashThe event is part of Rock the House, a competition that was founded by Mike Weatherley in 2011 as a parliamentary initiative with backing from the music industry and a host of celebrity patrons.

The event champions British creative industries and protects and promotes artists’ Intellectual Property Rights.

 

Mike said: “It is a real honour to welcome one of the greatest guitarists in history to the beautiful Houses of Parliament. Slash joins an impressive list of musicians whom Rock the House has hosted at the House of Commons over the years. The evening promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime event.”
