Sergio Lara, winner of Mr Gay Europe

For the second year running a contestant from Spain scooped the title Mr Gay Europe in the Grande Finale at the Sentrum Scene in Oslo last night, August 23.
Sergio Lara, a 26 year old psychology graduate with a music degree comes from Barcelona and was a popular winner with the audience and the other delegates also.
Contestants from Belgium, Estonia, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Romania, Russia, Spain and Switzerland reached the semi-final, with Spain, Iceland and Ireland battling it out for the winners crown in the super final.
Dutch contestant, Jeffrey Zevenbergen aged 27, won the People’s Choice award with 15.7 percent of the tele vote.
Estonia’s, Madis Räästas won the Challenge at the Tusenfryd Viking village, and Russia’s David Baramija won the Talent Competition.
Sergio Lara not only won the Mr. Gay Europe title, he also won the Mr. Gay Swim Wear 2009 title.
