Whitney Huston found dead in Los Angeles Hotel

Forty eight year old, American actress and singer Whitney Houston has been found dead in her fourth floor bedroom at the Beverley Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.

Two times Emmy and six times Grammy winner, Houston was the Queen of Pop in the 1980s until her health was ravaged by drugs and alcohol following her marriage to singer Bobby Brown.

She was in Los Angeles to sing at the annual Pre Grammy party thrown by her mentor Clive Davis.

At present the cause of death is not know. Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the case and that she was found dead in the bath.

Results of the toxicity report are awaited and will take 2-3 weeks.
