Do you want to run the marathon but don’t have a place?  Or do you have a place and want to run for a local charity?

Brighton and Hove LGBT Switchboard has places in next years Brighton Marathon and they are looking for people to run on their behalf.

This year they raised over £2,000 from running the marathon and they want to raise even more next year to help raise money towards their £20,000 fundraising appeal.

Elaine Bryan, a veteran of this years’ race and a trustee of Switchboard, will be coordinating Switchboard’s entries and will be on hand to offer support, expertise and encouragement, along with Mark Elsworth, lead trustee, who also completed the marathon.

Elaine says:
"This was a fantastic experience which I really enjoyed.  Although it was hard doing all the training the day itself was memorable and I was so proud of myself for finishing the course.  I really look forward to working with next years runners to help them have the same experience."

Switchboard will pay for your place, as long as you raise £500 in sponsorship on our behalf: if anyone else has already signed up to run the marathon and would like to run for a charity, then we would also like to hear from you.
