Only two weeks to go until Football V Homophobia

Last year, Football v Homophobia staged over 30 events in the UK and abroad. Football matches and tournaments were staged all over the globe with fans and communities everywhere uniting under the banner of "Football v Homophobia".

The expectation for this year is greater and with a host of premier league clubs getting involved another step has been taken in ending homophobia in the beautiful game.

There are many ways to get involved.

If you aren't the playing type but are a dedicated fan then assert your right to enjoy a football match without being intimidated by torrents of homophobic abuse from others and vocalise your support for your team's players that are subjected to such abuse on a weekly basis.

Even if you are not into Football, homophobia is an issue for everyone and therefore, tackling homophobia in football will have a positive impact on wider society.
