Local author and writer, Peter Burton passes away

Peter Burton former literary editor of Gay Times and Gay News before that, passed away last night (Monday November 7).

Peter lived in Brighton and had edited six anthologies of gay short stories, three of which were Lambda Literary Award finalists.

He had written or contributed to over thirty books, including his collection of essays, Amongst the Aliens.

Peter was the last publisher of Millivres/Gay Men’s Press and one of the last remaining links with the gay literary movement of the 1960s.
