Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) the HIV and Sexual Health Charity invite members of Brighton's LGBT Community to
an event showcasing the range of services that can help improve their
health and wellbeing on Saturday June 18.
Healthy LGBT takes place at Dorset Gardens Methodist Church between 11am and 4pm and provides information and support from local organisations on a range of health related issues, including mental health, nutrition and exercise.
The event is supported by The Gay Elderly Mens Society (GEMS), Brighton’s Lesbian and Gay Sports Society (BLAGSS), Brighton and Hove City Council Smoking Cessation, and many others.
A free lunch will be provided by the HIV charity, Lunch Positive, and complementary acupucture provided by Pathways To Health.
Sue Peters, Regional Manager for THT in the South, said:
“In today’s hectic world, it can be easy to neglect our health and welbeing. But there are lots of organisations set up to help us stay as fit and well as possible. This event is a great opportunity for THT to work with a range of local services to provide a one stop shop of information for Brighton & Hove’s LGBT community. We hope the event will encourage people to make positive changes to make their lifestyles healthier.”
Healthy LGBT is open to everyone in the LGBT community and their friends.
