The chair of Thanet Pride, Kevin Grice, has resigned his position as chairman of the organisation.
In his resignation letter Kevin said:
"I am writing to let you know that I am resigning my position as Chairman of Thanet Pride forthwith. The bank account is currently showing zero credit and so I will close the account in seven days unless I am contacted by someone who can legally show that they have now taken on the responcibilty of Thanet Pride. I will also see the necessary changes to the signaturies of the account. I will hold all previous documents and supply copies to anyone who shows legal proof to needing them. I will however keep all master copies for the obligatory 7 years."
He continued:
"May I say that I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Thanet Pride and that we made it such a successful event for 4 years. However due to the total lack of interest in the day to day management and organisation of the event I pass it on to those with more flare."
He concluded saying:
"The gay community generally will take anything that is free, but ask them for help and your dead!"
