The 'Actually Gay Men’s Chorus' are holding their next 'Actually Making Music' open day and vocal workshop on Saturday, September 3, in response to the success of the same event in June.

Actually GMC is also home to Brighton & Hove Gay Men’s Chorus, who recently announced their £1 million recording contract with Universal Records.

Funded in full by the Monument Trust, the open day is an opportunity for anyone over 18 in the community, to experience the fun and achievement, which can be gained from singing in four part harmony.

Chairman John Hamilton said:
“We are always impressed by the amount of vocal talent in the community, and pleased to welcome men and women, keen to experience singing as part of a group.”

The day caters for enthusiastic singers where experience is unimportant and is split into workshops and masterclasses, run by both resident and guest tutors, under the guidance of Musical Director Jason Pimblett and his team. Chorus members will be on hand throughout the day to help.

Patron and west end performer Joe McJoe will be hosting a workshop on vocal technique. He will be offering an insight into skills developed by performing in shows, such as Les Miserables.

The day concludes with a group performance, which brings together all the skills developed over the course of the day.

Actually Making Music takes place at:
St Andrew’s Church,
Waterloo Street,
Hove.
Saturday September 3, between 11am and 4.45pm.
