Ulster Unionist Adrian Watson has said that he wasn't picked as an election candidate because he expressed the view that he wouldn't like to have gay couples staying at his bed and breakfast establishment.

He then went on to accuse the Tories of hypocrisy in light of the news that Shadow Home Secretary Chris Grayling said that B&B owners should have the right to turn away gay couples.

Mr Watson said:
"If this gentleman is allowed to stand, surely there is no good reason now to bar me from standing.

"It's blatant discrimination against me - Mr Cameron is talking about equality for everyone, but where's my equality?"
