Breast Cancer Campaign is encouraging all fitness fans in the south to join the race to beat breast cancer at the Mazda London Triathlon this summer.
Last year 10,000 competitors raised thousands of pounds for charity as they swam, cycled and ran around London and Campaign wants people on its team to race for research on Saturday 7 and Sunday August 8.
Events Executive, Karen Lambert, said:
“
Last year Campaign’s London Triathlon competitors raised more than £15,000 to help us continue our mission to beat breast cancer. This year, we have 15 charity places still available and would also welcome anyone who has secured their own place in the triathlon to join our team. So why not sign up to tackle the world’s biggest triathlon and support the 46,000 people who will be diagnosed with this disease in 2010?”
Minimum sponsorship is £575 for an individual and £1,150 for a maximum team of three. There are different distances to choose from depending on fitness level, such as a 400m swim, a 20km bike ride and a 5km run. The deadline for entries is Tuesday 1 June 2010.
