A poster poem by Norfolk-based artist Vince Laws has been stolen from St Margaret’s Church of Art in Norwich

Mr Laws said:
“This puts me up there with Picasso and Matisse. I can only assume it’s been stolen to order as it is a very distinctive piece. I would like to congratulate the thief on their cutting edge taste.”

The poster depicts a Union Jack and the words: Support the Troops – Start Another War. Norfolk Police have been unable to confirm or deny a link to the recent art theft of masterpieces in Paris.

Mr Laws is a founder member of the Norwich Dandies, a collective of contemporary poets and artists, who are exhibiting in St Margaret’s Church on St Benedict’s Street, Norwich, until June 5.
