Anna Nolan
Big Brother star Anna Nolan has warned that gay bullying is a serious problem in Ireland.

The TV star said such bullying can lead to suicidal thoughts and depression. She added that those who bullied were putting their victims' lives at risk.

Talking to students she said:
"A young person's mental health can become affected if they feel animosity, non-acceptance, ridicule and fear when telling others about being gay. They need support and acceptance."

Nolan was speaking at the launch of a campaign by Console's, the suicide bereavement charity.
