Manchester Pride will sponsor the famous La Gayola Spiegeltent at this year's Queer Up North festival in May.

La Gayola Spiegeltent, a unique "tent of mirrors", is a pavilion built of wood, mirrors, leaded glass and velvet. It is one of only a handful left in the world today – having been used as a travelling dance hall and entertainment venue since the early 20th century.

La Gayola Spiegeltent will showcase a glorious line-up of cabaret, burlesque and music. The full Queer Up North programme will be announced later this month.

Queer Up North is Manchester 's international queer festival which takes place on 18 – 31 May 2010, Sackville Street, Manchester.

Manchester Pride is Manchester's annual LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) festival. This year’s event takes place from Friday 20th – Monday 30th August.
