After a year of offering luxury holidays and civil partnerships in Scotland to the LGBT community www.lovescotland.com has published a list of some of the best gay friendly places to stay in the country.
A spokesman for the company said:
"Being gay owned and operated, Love Scotland understands all of the awkward travel moments experienced by same sex couples, such as being offered the twin room when checking into a hotel.
"This listings service was designed to eliminate, not only the research time needed to find a really great place to stay, but also the guess work of deciding if somewhere is going to welcome you and your partner. Scotland’s rights for same sex couples make it one of the most progressive countries in the world and much of our tourism industry is keen to attract new business from the LGBT sector. The ‘places to stay’ section of www.lovescotland.com provides a platform for those businesses.
“The idea came from the amount of hospitality providers who have approached us, keen to be part of the Love Scotland brand and attract LGBT customers. We’re delighted to be promoting some of Scotland’s best accommodation to a brand new audience.”
