With the new football season fast approaching, football clubs across the UK are being asked to score the winning goal to help beat breast cancer this year by taking part in Breast Cancer Campaign’s £100 Football Club Challenge.
The £100 Challenge is an annual initiative where Campaign asks football clubs UK-wide to hold a fundraising event in support of the charity. This can be anything from a sponsored pink match to raffles and pub quizzes. Plus, all the money raised will help Campaign fund innovative world-class research to help save lives.
The £100 Challenge has raised £750,000 in the last seven years for vital breast cancer research.
Colin Norford, Breast Cancer Campaign’s Head of Community Fundraising, said: “
Taking part in Breast Cancer Campaign’s £100 Football Club Challenge is very simple and it’s a great way to have fun with teammates while raising vital funds for research into breast cancer. So get your club involved and help Campaign beat breast cancer.”
The fundraising challenge is set at £100 however there are various fundraising levels in place for those who want to aim a little higher such as Silver level (£500), Gold level (£1,000) or even Pink level (£2,500) to raise extra cash and help Campaign continue funding breast cancer research.
