Pressure group Christian Voice has attacked rugby star Gareth Thomas for being involved in Schools Out, which aims to teach children about gay people.

Christian Voice's director, Stephen Green, called Mr Thomas "wicked". Green also said "Most right- thinking people would be appalled that sex in any form, and sodomy in particular, is being thrust down small children’s throats, yet that is what Gareth Thomas is now promoting."

On Gareth's coming out, Green said that as he has had a physical relationship with his wife, this would make Mr Thomas "bisexual at worst".

Christian Voice have been branded as "fundamentalist thugs" by John Cryer MP, while the moderator of the United Reformed Chruch calls them a "disgrace". Sue Sanders of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) History Month has pointed out that Mr Green talks more about gay sex than gay men.
