Norfolk based poet and artist, Vince Laws, has been invited to blog on Disability Arts Online, an Arts Council funded website with over 6,000 subscribers.
Vince is HIV+, has undergone treatment for Hepatitis C, and suffers depression. He is currently the Norwich Pride Poet Laureate, and his poetry play,
The Small Frayed Knot has received widespread acclaim, including a rehearsed reading at The Albany Theatre, in Deptford, London.
Vince said:
“I’m chuffed to be asked. I’ll be telling people what I’m up to, showing some of my visual work, and, of course, sharing some poetry.
“I’m currently working on OUT140, collecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans coming out stories in 140 characters or less, which will be shown in the Norwich Arts Centre, alongside giant wall texts, around Norwich Pride. Also I’m helping put together the Proud Arts Trail at various venues around the city, and I’m hosting a spoken word night called Proud Words.”
