FIT, a play about homophobia which is to tour schools around the United Kingdom, has been approved by the mother of murdered gay teenager Michael Causer.

Mrs Causer, whose son Michael was killed in Liverpool in July 2008, said:
"We need to get into the schools and instil in people at an early age that homophobia will not be tolerated."

James O'Connor was convicted and sentenced to serve life with a minimum of 11-and-a-half years before he can be considered for parole after pleading guilty to the murder.

FIT was written and directed by Rikki Beadle Blair, whose work includes the TV series Metrosexuality for Channel 4.
