Worthing is to hold its first annual musical theatre outdoor celebration, The Sunset Serenade, on Sunday August 15.

A spokesman for the event said:
"With big headline acts from TV and the west end performing alongside local performers this will truly be a summer spectacular.

"Field place in Worthing will be playing host to this festival type event with a cast of over 40 and a live band playing to a picnicking audience. We have guest West End stars Shona White (Elphaba in wicked) Nicole faraday (Various TV shows and leading lady in west end for bad girls the musical) Shimi Goodman (Chicago) Kieran Jae (Jersey Boys) & Claire Marlowe (Whistle Down the Wind).

"This is the perfect chance to while away a summer's afternoon while being entertained by top west end performers and your favourite musicals! Chicago, Wicked, Bad Girls, Jersey Boys, Whistle down the wind, Gypsy, Carousel, Sunset boulevard, Chess, We will rock you, and many many more!"
