Al Start Band

The Women's Performance Tent, presented by Brighton Women’s Centre in partnership with Pride in Brighton & Hove, is looking for submissions from female LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender)-fronted acts.

A spokeswoman for the BWC (Brighton Women’s Centre) said:
"If you would like to join the spectrum of women artists who make Pride beside the seaside uniquely funky, soulful, quirky and exhilarating, the production team wants to hear from you."

Production team member and performer Al Start said:
“The Women's Performance Tent has grown and developed over the last 10 years into one of the UK's top Pride performance venues. This call for women performers is a great opportunity not to be missed.”

Sue Shaw, who co-ordinates volunteering at BWC and the Women’s Performance Tent, said:
“Brighton Women’s Centre is a vibrant hub of creative community activity. Volunteers and donations for BWC and the Women's Performance Tent @ Brighton Pride are always welcome."
