The Whats On Stage 2010 Theatregoing Awards cover all professional productions that opened in London between December 1, 2008 and November 30, 2009. Three categories present exceptions: Best West End Show applies to any production still running, regardless of opening date; Best Regional Production looks beyond the capital; and Theatre Event of the Year is not production or location-specific but marks a significant theatrical milestone.

Local cabaret artist Wezley Sebastian aka Cassidy Connors is up for the role of best newcomer award playing the role of Miss Understanding in Priscilla Queen of the Desert (category 23).
