With The Argus saying the Hove seat could be an "outside bet" for the Liberal Democrats, Lib Dem Vince Cable has personally endorsed the constituency's candidate Paul Elgood.

Vince has sent a message of support saying:
"Paul Elgood made excellent progress for the Lib Dems in Hove at the last General Election with an 8% swing and we are looking to him to better that in the coming General Election. Sussex already has one excellent Lib Dem MP, Norman Baker and we aim for more including Paul Elgood."

Mr Elgood said:
"I am delighted to have Vince's support as one of the party's most popular Parliamentarians. This election is really hotting up for us, anything could happen."
