The Rainbow Chorus Christmas concert ‘Hallelujah Its Christmas!’

The Rainbow Chorus, Brighton’s only gay and lesbian choir are presenting a Christmas Concert called "Hallulujah Its Christmas" in December.

The Chorus will be singing some of your favourite Christmas carols and excerpts from Handel’s glorious masterpiece ‘The Messiah’, accompanied by piano and string ensemble.

The concert takes place in central Brighton and will be conducted by Matthew Pollard. Hearing impaired people will be able to follow the concert through sign interpreter Marco Nardi.
 
The Chorus will be presenting some well loved Christmas songs and carols during the first half. Songs will include ‘Winter Wonderland’, ‘In the bleak winter’ and ‘Have yourself a merry little Christmas’.

Audience participation will be expected at times, so go prepared to sing!

During the interval mulled wine and refreshments will be available to get you into right festive mood.

The choir will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra during the second act performing excerpts from Handel’s ‘Messiah’. Your favourite choruses, as well as solo performances by choir members are also on the program, concluding with the well known 'Hallelujah Chorus'; guaranteed to be a rousing finale!
 
With this concert The Rainbow Chorus will conclude a very successful year including concerts and performances at  ‘Various Voices’ (London),‘International Day Against Homophobia’, ‘The Brighton Fringe Festival’, the NUT LGBT conference, and ‘The Charleston Festival’.

The Chorus is looking to expand their membership in the South and has members from Brighton and Hove, Worthing, Crawley, Burgess Hill and Hastings.
