Terrence Higgins Trust events in Brighton and Hove on, December 1, World AIDS Day 2009

The World AIDS Day Brighton campaign ‘What does HIV/AIDS mean to you?’ is being promoted throughout the city by THT (Terrence Higgins Trust) with a postcard campaign throughout November.  Campaign entries can be seen at the Jubilee Library till December 2.
 
In addition THT will distribute red ribbons and postcards round boutique shops and cafes in the city. All LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) venues in Brighton & Hove have been provided with red ribbon boxes, posters and campaign postcards.
 
THT’s Positive Voices volunteer group will be facilitating sessions at local schools and colleges on and around World Aids Day - using the 'What does HIV/AIDS mean to you' cards.

Other events include:
 
THT Open Day at  61 Ship Street  11am – 3pm on December 1 when people can visit the centre and hear more about what they do. There will be an exhibition of current campaigns and a photo display of events throughout the year.
 
THT will be out in the stations and streets collecting and raising awareness of HIV on December 2.
 
THT will provide a World Aids Day safe sex packs to LGBT venue staff, with THT service guides, condoms and campaign materials.
 
At the Wild Fruit Defiantly Red Party 09 on Sunday, December 6, at Oceana, West Street, Brighton, 8.30pm – 3am the THT Outreach Crew will be present.

The Drag with No Name's charity gangbang will be raising money for THT at 9.30pm on Monday November 30 at Legends.
