Police are warning about a man who is preying on the gay community by befriending his victims and then stealing from them.
He is believed to have struck twice last month and on each occasion he met the men in Brighton pubs, drank with them and then went back to their homes. They woke up the next morning to find large quantities of property stolen from their properties.
The first incident happened on October 23 in Albany Villas in Hove when the victim went back to his home with the man and then awoke to find his computer, TV, DVD player, two laptops, four coats, iPod and charger missing.
The second incident happened on October 31 in Wilbury Road, Hove, when again the victim met the man in a pub, took him back to his home and then awoke to find a laptop, holdall, mobile phone, watch, TV, stereo and bank cards stolen. The cards were later used to withdraw cash from his account.
The man is described as being 5' 10", olive skinned and speaks with a thick Spanish accent. He is aged in his late 20s, of stocky build, with short, dark, brown hair and clean shaven.
Anyone with information should contact Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999 or call Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
