I will not be raising another penny for Pride. I find it very sad that Pride have chosen to turn their backs on a lot of the business's not only Wilde Ones, many of whom have worked very hard over the years to help build Brighton Pride to become the most popular in the country.

I am still amazed that Pride are running a tendering process without full clarification of the top line proposal for the park event. What exactly is being tendered. Was the decision already made before the public meeting?

It would appear that a shed load of goodwill has just been thrown away which will impact the event for years - and for what?

I really cannot get my head around it.

Pride says there will be a dance tent but will it be a dance tent that represents a Brighton brand ?

So there will be a 'community heart' to the park but no mention of raising vital funds for community groups. It feels more to me that they are ripping the community heart from the park.

Pride also state that their cash flow is now looking healthier then previously announced. So what has changed in the last three days?

As a local business owner who has raised thousands of pounds for Pride through the generosity of our customers, cabaret artists, local shops & hotels donating prizes for our raffles, I am totally disheartened and feel very strongly that I will be unable to support any more fundraisers for Pride until such time I have confidence in the Pride board to deliver the event that people want.

We will however continue to do our bit and support other worth while charities and LGBT causes.
