Brighton & Hove City Council is inviting nominations for the third City Sports & Physical Activity Awards to be held on Thursday October 7. This year the Awards are sponsored by Brighton & Hove City Council, NHS Brighton and  Hove and DC Leisure.
 
Nominations are now open and close at noon on Monday September 6.

Linked to the Sussex Sports Awards, and the Brighton & Hove Public Service Awards, the City Sports & Physical Activity Awards aim to recognise sporting talent, reward outstanding sporting achievements and applaud contributions to sport across the city – whether from athletes, clubs, coaches or volunteers.
 
Councillor David Smith, cabinet member for culture and recreation, said:
“This is a great opportunity to ensure those involved in sports in the city - whether as a coach, volunteer or athlete - gain the recognition they deserve. I urge everyone involved and connected with sports to make that nomination.”
