On June 18 over 1000 women will take part in the Martlets' Midnight Walk through the streets of Brighton, dressed in flashing bunny ears.

Last year's event raised over £165,000 for the local Martlets' hospice. Six hundred women have registered for the 2010 Midnight Walk and the Martlets team are urging women to get their entries in as soon as possible.

Antonia Sheperd, who organises the Midnight Walk, said:
"It's absolutely not about how quickly you can finish the walk, this isn't a race. For most Midnight Walkers it's all about dressing up and spending a night walking through Brighton with friends. It's a girl's night out really, except without the alcohol!

"Midnight Walk are doing it in memory of someone who has passed away. Others may not have used the Hospice services themselves however the walkcan be an important way of supporting friends who've lost someone."

Registration is £12 and every penny raised in sponsorship goes directly to patient care. The Hospice is not part of the NHS and all services are provided free of charge.
