The Mayor of Brighton and Hove, Cllr Anne Norman, was joined by the leader of the the Lib Dem group on the city council, Cllr Paul Elgood and Cllr David Watkins, the leader of the Labour group on the city council, Cllr Gill Mitchell and former leader of the Council Simon Burgess and Convener of the Greens Cllr Bill Randall at the Aids Memorial in New Steine to mark World Aids Day yesterday (Tuesday 1).
Cllr Elgood called for a two minutes silence at midday to remember all those lost to HIV/Aids during the last 26 years of the pandemic worldwide.
The Mayor of Brighton and Hove laid flowers at the Memorial to mark the lives of all those lost to HIV/AIds in Brighton and Hove.
