Chris Cooke

Community and LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) activist Chris Cooke has been selected as one of the Labour Party candidates for the Queens Park ward in the 2011 local elections.
Chris is widely known in the area as Chair of the Eastern Road Partnership, Chair of St.James's Area Local Action Team and as Chair of Kemp Town in Bloom. He is also a Governor at Queens Park School and a Trustee of both Spectrum and the Brighton Youth Centre. In his spare time he is also the Kemp Town community correspondent for the Argus.

"I am delighted to have been chosen as a candidate for the Queens Park ward, as it's an area which I am very passionate about. It's such a diverse and dynamic community and I hope to build on the links I already have in the ward to make real improvements."
