Liberal Democrats have called on the Labour Party to fight "fair and clean" in Hove at the General Election.

The call comes after Labour distributed a negative leaflet in the constituency about the Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg.

Hove Lib Dem Agent Lawrence Eke said:
"We saw questionable tactics at the last General Election in the constituency which has since become legendary on the blogs. This time we call on Labour to fight fair and clean in Hove at the General Election.

"Frankly the public deserve better, and this constituency is not worthy of anything but the best possible level of debate."

Following the Labour leaflet the Lib Dems received dozens of calls from residents angry at the tactic.
