Nick Clegg MP

Leader of the Lib Dems, Nick Clegg MP, is to hold an open meeting where anyone can attend and express their opinions.
 
Nick Clegg said:
“Politicians have let people down, making them feel disconnected from the old, Westminster-based style of politics we've had for far too long. We need to clean up our democracy and give power back to voters - making all politicians properly accountable - and I am determined to do my bit to change things now.
 
“That is why I host these meetings and have been doing so since I became Party Leader. Anyone can attend, put their questions, opinions and ideas to me. There are no handpicked audiences and no fixed questions. Just an open conversation with people about issues which matter to them.”
 
The meeting takes place on Thursday December 3 between 7pm and 8pm at Eastbourne Town Hall, Grove Road, Eastbourne.
