Gay Outings, a new community based website, will launch at Brighton Rocks on Friday October 16 at 7.30pm. The website is aimed at men who want an alternative to the club scene, and will concentrate on monthly dinners, live music events, bbqs, trips to the country, and fundraisers.

Jonathan Price, who has set up the site, said:
"We are a new social group in Brighton for gay men who want to socialise with other gay men 'off the scene'. We will be organising monthly dinners, music nights, days out, charity events and other exciting activities! The idea behind 'gay outings' is really to bring guys together who want to talk and enjoy an evening together in a neutral, friendly enviroment. As a  gay guy myself who only goes out on the scene occasionally, I find that I don't socialise with a lot of gay guys and think there should be a community group in Brighton where people can come together, regardless of age, wealth or beauty and just talk, and be supportive and feel part of a community. I really look forward to being part of that!

"We are inviting any friendly, down to earth gay men to come to the launch night of this new group and have a drink on us and help us celebrate! Bring your partners or come alone as all are welcome. Our regular monthly evenings out will be on the last Saturday of each month, all details will be listed on the website!"
