John Prescott MP, Ben Bradshaw MP (Secretary of State for Culture, Media and sport) and Kerry McCarthy MP (the governments 'twitter tsar') hosted a 'Go Fourth' event at Charles Street on Saturday night.

Simon Burgess and Ian Ross, Labours candidates for Brighton Kemptown and Worthing West spoke with the hosts at the event.

Simon said;
"Prescott reminded everyone of what Labour has achieved from LGBT rights to investment in public services. The 'Go Fourth' is a facebook and twitter campaign led by Prescott for a Labour fourth term. By communicating that way it allows politicians to communicate directly with the voters without the national media putting their interpretation on what was said. I find facebook a great way to communicate myself but I will now be stepping my up efforts via twitter."

Ian said;
“It was fantastic to have Prezza come to the heart of Brighton’s LGBT Community, reminding us all of what a Labour Government has done in rectifying many years of inequality for gays. It’s nice to see Prezza punching his way into Twitter and Facebook. Simon and I would welcome fellow hotties adding us as friends on Facebook!”
