The Brighton Dome is hosting an event to mark the International Day of Disabled Persons on Thursday December 3. Its focus will be the empowerment of disabled people and their communities around the world.
The day starts at 3.45pm with opening speeches from Geraldine DesMoulins,Chief Officer, Federation of Disabled People; Councillor Dee Simson, Council Cabinet Member for Community Affairs, Inclusion and Internal Relations and Councillor Ann Norman,The Mayor of the City of Brighton & Hove.
The day will also feature a speech from disabled artist Sophie Morgan and a number of workshops, films, massage and comedy from Extant, Britain’s only professional performing arts company of visually impaired people. Information will also be available on various local community services plus advice from the Disability Advice Centre team.
