A pilot specialist service for children with ME funded by the Brighton & Hove City PCT (Primary Care Trust) is being developed at the Royal Alexander Children’s Hospital in Brighton. The new children’s service plan came about following work carried out by a group led by pediatrician Dr Kamal Patel that included representatives of the Sussex ME Society and the Association of Young People with ME.

The service that is being linked to Great Ormond Street Hospital is being monitored by the other PCTs of Sussex who are looking at supporting a county-wide service.
