Three Brighton & Hove Green councillors are taking part in Martlets Friday Night Ride this week. Cllrs Alex Phillip, Ian Davey and Vicky Wakefield-Jarrett will be joining almost four hundred participants on the ride between  Sloane Square in  London and the seafront in Brighton. The ride is expected to take six hours, with cyclists travelling through London, Surrey and Sussex, arriving for breakfast at 6am on Saturday morning.

Cllr Ian Davey commented:
“This is a  London to  Brighton with a difference. Whilst the thought of attempting Ditchling Beacon at 5am in is a daunting prospect hopefully the sight of seeing dawn break over Brighton from the top will make it all worthwhile.

“Martlets do some wonderful work locally and I am delighted to have this opportunity to offer them my support. If anybody would like to sponsor us they can do so on the just giving website or by contacting us directly”.

The group hopes to raise more than £500 for the Martlets Hospice in Hove.
