Get Involved Day on Saturday November 21 at Hove Town Hall is the launch event for a nine-month Get Involved local democracy and citizenship campaign. The day gives local citizens the chance to have their say by quizzing local politicians and giving their opinions to the city's service providers.

The day is being held in partnership with Sussex Police, NHS Brighton & Hove, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service and a number of community and voluntary sector organisations and presents an opportunity to find out more about what’s happening in the community.

This event will give residents information about the ways in which they can get their voice heard, including how to make their vote count and understanding how the city works.

A wide range of activities are planned for the day including:

Information stalls to showcase the range of services, organisations and activities available in the city

Video screenings from the Have Your Say campervan. This will travel around the city in the run up to the event to get residents’ views on the issues affecting Brighton & Hove

A Question Time chaired by newsreader Nicholas Owen. This will give residents the chance to question a panel of councillors and partners

Workshops and free training on many aspects of getting involved, including becoming a councillor, learning how to debate and using social media

Get Involved Day  Saturday 21 November from 10am to 5pm at  Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove.
