Following the recent announcement that Pride in Brighton & Hove has identified a potential financial deficit this year local LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) businesses are showing their support by holding fundraising events.  

The Wild Fruit Bank Holiday party at Tru this Bank Holiday Sunday is putting its emphasis on fundraising for Pride. The Wild Fruit crew are keenly aware of the current financial situation at Pride and so are urging customers to dig deep to help with this year's Pride funds. People will be enthusiastically bucket collecting at the event and Wild Fruit asks all guests to donate as much or as little as they can afford, all spare change is welcome and every penny counts for this worthy cause that supports the country's best free festival.

The Queens Arms is having a Pride Cabaret Fundraising weekend starting Friday October 9 when they are setting themselves a minimum £1,500 target.
