Community libraries across the city are providing free Christmas treats for their customers.
Coffee and mince pies will be on offer at:
Rottingdean (December 12, 10.30am-12 noon)
Hollingbury (December 17, 10am-12 noon)
Westdene (December 18, 10am-1pm)
Woodingdean (December 21, 11am-1pm) and
Patcham (December 22, 9.30am-12 noon) libraries.
There’s a Christmas themed craft and story event at Hollingbury Library on December 19 (10.30-11.30am).

Hove Library is celebrating Dickins at Christmas with two events. The first, on December 10 at 2pm, features Somerhill School choir singing carols followed by a narration for adults of the well-known Charles Dickins ghost story The Signalman. Visually impaired customers welcome.
The second event, on December 15 will start at 11am with St Andrew’s School choir singing carols, followed by a reading of A Christmas Carol.

Make your own Christmas decorations using natural materials with the local park ranger at Moulsecoomb Library this Saturday (December 12 , 10am-12.30pm; or 2-3pm). Suitable for all ages. Call 01273 296910 for more details.
Coldean, Patcham, Whitehawk and the urban mobile library are having a Christmas display and quiz (with lucky draw prize) from this week until December 22.
