Des Turner MP

Brighton Kemptown MP Des Turner, & his wife Lynn, collected for the Poppy Appeal at Brighton Marina ASDA yesterday (Friday 6).

For many years the couple have given up a couple of hours of their time to help collect for the Poppy Appeal.

Des Turner MP said:
"Whatever anybody thinks about the merits of any particular conflict those who serve their country, and their families, deserve our wholehearted support."

"I will be at the Remembrance Parade at the Brighton Memorial this Sunday but it is also important to physically raise funds and I hope others will contemplate offering their time - the Poppy Appeal is always in need of fresh volunteers."

Lynn Turner and Simon Burgess, Labour's candidate to succeed Des at the next election, will be representing Des at the Sunday Remembrance Service in Peacehaven. Simon also collected for the Poppy Appeal at the ASDA Marina on Friday.
